1. sarthik says:

i’ve studied IT, and should i have to study these electronics too?, i have applied for RRB JE, why is electronics present in computers?

1. There are multiple disciplines for which you can apply.
I believe you are confused in between ‘Junior Engineer (Information Technology)’ and ‘RRB JE (Electronics and Allied Engineering )’.
This post is related to the later one, as there are only 29 posts for JE (IT).
So, If you have applied for JE (Electronics & allied), then only this course material is beneficial for you.

2. Arpita pandey says:

Sir please recommend me some book for electronics and allied engineering technical portion.

3. Sushmita says:

Sir. My exam group is electronics and allied engineering but i am computer science student so my confusion is that which syllabus i have to follow

1. It doesn’t matter which stream are you from. You’ll have to follow the syllabus of ‘Electronics & Allied Engineering’, which I have mentioned in this post. It is common for all the branches who were eligible and have applied for this particular exam group.

4. Abhi says:

For CBT 2 current affairs we should start preparing some GK reviews from now. Right?

1. Current Affairs is there in CBT 1 as well as in CBT 2. So, whatever CA you’ll prepare for CBT 1, CBT 2 preparation will be a continuation of it.

5. Latha says:

Sri, my trade in engineering is computer science & Information technology (CSIT), But my exam group is electronics and allied engineering, so am too confused to which syllabus should i follow, and also can you refer which book i should prepare

1. Latha, there can’t be two different things. The exam group should be either CS/IT or Electronics and Allied Engineering.
If you meant that you are from CS/IT but you have applied for Electronics and allied Exam group, that’s perfectly fine. All you have to do is focus on Electronics, which you must have studied at your college.
If you have further doubts, email me your application PDF.
I’ll be focussing only on Electronics & Allied Group and not on CS/IT as the later doesn’t have many vacancies.
Now, coming to the syllabus and books, Syllabus and other information is already mentioned above in this post and for books, check my reply to Arpita Pandey.

6. Pavithra says:

Hi sir my branch is Computer science and Engineering but it was adding to the group of Electronics & allied group,so now i had marked combination of substream of computer science and engineering. Is that ok or will there be any problem?

1. They can’t add you anywhere. You’ll have to select a particular exam group.
Being a CSE student, you can apply either for the Electronics and Allied engineering or Computer Science and Information Technology exam group.

1. First of all, finalise the Exam Group of your interest.
2. Then, check the vacancy table on the RRB website (Remember that CS/IT exam group don’t have many vacancies, neither all RRBs have them)
3. At last, select the RRB of your choice (Again, remember that all RRBs might not have the vacancy for a particular post)

Don’t wait for the last minute, as due to high traffic, you might not be able to complete the application process.

Good Luck
